Intro to Plant Identification in Clayoquot Sound

Ever wonder what that beautiful flower is you saw while hiking in the spring? Or if the berries abundant on that bush are edible? Matt Harris will be sharing his knowledge and education gained from experience conducting vegetation assessments on disturbed lands in Alberta and work in the Tofino Botanical Gardens to provide practical insight on how to identify native plants for leisurely interest in Clayoquot Sound. The workshop will be followed by optional days at the Tofino Botanical Gardens to practice plant identification in the field. Hosted by Friends of Clayoquot Sound and the Tofino Botanical Gardens   Learn the basic techniques needed to identify native plants by physical characteristics using the right field guides!
