IN A NUTSHELLReleased as part of the Global Week of Action (October 20-25, 2008), In a Nutshell - The Problems with Salmon Farms in BC is a new online video that takes viewers up Canada’s Pacific coast to experience the devastating role salmon farms are playing in the decline of wild salmon and the degradation of coastal ecosystems resulting from these losses. The video is a collaboration by filmmaker Twyla Roscovich and the Pure Salmon Campaign. Help supermarkets make more informed decisions. Please take a moment to tell the management of a grocery store in your area why you’re concerned about open net-cage salmon farming and encourage them to ask their suppliers for more sustainable products. To make it easy, we've done the homework on major grocery chain contacts for you - find your store and send an email. Watch the video below for inspiration and ask your grocery store to help protect wild salmon by supporting closed containment.
