Dear Premier Campbell,

Clayoquot Sound is world renowned for its globally rare expanse of ancient temperate rainforest. Clayoquot Sound is also known as a place where the Central Region Chiefs of the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations - Hesquiaht, Ahousaht, Tla-o-qui-aht, Ucluelet and Toquaht - have worked with environmental groups to protect and conserve the ancient forests within First Nations' traditional territories.

However, the intact valleys of Clayoquot Sound, known as Eehmiis Areas or 'very precious spaces' by the Nuu-chah-nulth, have still not been protected in provincial law and are once again in danger of being logged. Therefore:
